You may have noticed that our blog post frequency slowed down a bit in May.
Our team was busy upgrading and converting our blog and website. We’re happy to announce that work is complete and the resources available to the industry we love are more accessible and plentiful than ever!
We appreciate and value, you, our blog readers and subscribers! If you’re reading this via email or RSS feed, you may not have noticed the changes and additional resources available on our homebase – Velvet Chainsaw dot com. Here’s a summary:
We moved our blog to a dedicated server to improve page load-time, security and maintenance.
Five plus years of thought provoking blog posts have been re-categorized around your conference improvement priorities. You can preview posts (with rich images) by pain point, date published or perform a keyword search.
A new section has been added to provide easy access to larger free resources like e-books, The Speaker Report, newsletter archive and videos. As it should be, you never have to submit your contact information to access these.
One of the greatest assets of our blog is the comments and discussion from you. All comments have been successfully migrated. A new comments solution has been adopted that allows comments to be threaded, making the discussion even richer. If you’re ever compelled to add to the discussion, click the post title and you’ll be off and running.
Our small team is out there doing real work with large annual conferences and expositions. We want you to know who, and how special, each of them are. With our new website, we’ve also better articulated our project work, speaking topics and clients.
Our culture is about helping progress the industry that has been so good to each of us. We appreciate your loyal readership and hope that you will continually challenge us to provoke change and improvement for conferences.
What do you think or our new site? We appreciate any feedback to make it better and more helpful for you.
