David Beckett Joins the Velvet Chainsaw Team

We are extremely excited to welcome David Beckett, Vice President, Business Model & Performance to the Velvet Chainsaw Consulting team!

To me, this is kind of like getting the band back together! I had the privilege to hire and work closely with David at Experient as well as when I was on the board of Eventcore.

1. He knows what it takes to pull off the largest and most complex events in our space.
2. David brings to the table a unique balance of business acumen, out-of-the-box thinking and operational excellence.
3. He has never met a P&L, process map or spreadsheet he didn’t like.
4. I trust him.

David has over 20 years of experience leading service delivery teams, including for some of our industry’s most innovative events. From 2001 to 2018, he led the Registration and Housing teams for Experient/Maritz. In 2018, he relocated his family to Seattle and joined the leadership team at Eventcore. While there, Beckett further developed his expertise in event technology, system integrations and technical project management.

VCC is laser-focused on serving large and complex conferences and tradeshows. Coming out of the pandemic, more of our clients are looking for guidance on modernizing their event business model, pricing and performance metrics. This is where David will play.
