Our Creativity Is Lacking [Infographic]

New research reveals a global creativity gap in five of the world’s largest economies, according to the Adobe State of Create global benchmark study.

The research shows 8 in 10 people feel that unlocking creativity is critical to economic growth and nearly two-thirds of respondents feel creativity is valuable to society. Unfortunately, only 1 in 4 people – believe they are living up to their own creative potential.

Adobe hired StrategyOne to interview 5,000 adults: 1,000 each in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Japan about their creativity or lack thereof. Here are the results.

    How is it determined who is more creative? Is it just based on one’s own personal assessment? Is it based on the number of patents the country produces? It seems like this would be a hard thing to pin down to a statistic.
